We also understand that we wouldn’t be here without our patients and will always treat you with respect and recognise your individual requirements and tailor or services accordingly placing your patient experience as our top priority.

With a desire to keep you informed we have outlined below a little of what you can expect as a new patient on your first visit to Waiuku Dental Centre.

First Visit Experience

From your first point of contact with us you will be warmly welcomed to our practice. Upon arriving at our comfortable, modern facility we will request you complete our New Patient Medical and Dental History Form, which for your convenience we have also made available online (click here for online version).

In the event you arrive early our practice is filled with enough entertainment material to keep you and your family busy while you wait.

You will then be introduce to your experienced dentist and escorted into one of our rooms where your dentist will perform a comprehensive dental assessment. This will include:

  • Full Comprehensive Examination
  • Diagnostic X-Rays (if required)
  • Treatment Planning

At Waiuku Dental Centre we believe strongly in patient education and following your dental assessment your dentist will explain in detail all of their findings, pointing out any potential problem areas and providing their considered, professional opinion on any treatment options so you can make an informed decision.

Your Medical and Dental History

As a new patient to Waiuku Dental Centre we will need you to complete an New Patient Medical and Dental History Form to provide us with a complete overview of your current and past medical and dental state. This will help us to provide you with the best treatment for your individual circumstance.

For your convenience we have made this form available online where the answers are sent directly to our practice or as a downloadable PDF for you to complete in your own time.

For any payments that you are required to make to Waiuku Dental Centre we accept cash, credit cards, cheques and EFTPOS and we do accept social welfare quotes and payments by Gem Visa.
